One of the most significant events for Australia in 2023 was the Voice Referendum. Although the Australian people overwhelmingly agreed that we should not change our Constitution as proposed, my sense is that we also overwhelmingly agreed that we should all do more to “Close the Gap”.

As I reflect further on this theme, I’m reminded that the Christmas season is actually all about ‘closing the gap.’ Though mankind was far off, God came down to us through Jesus, and the angels heralded His birth as “good news of great joy for all the people.” One of the many things we learn from this is that being gracious, generous and of good cheer doesn’t just make a difference, it makes all the difference.

Although there will always be ups and downs in life, and we have had plenty of both this year, there is still so much for which we can be grateful. I would particularly like to thank our team, our clients, and our suppliers. Thank you for your loyalty and support throughout the year. We look forward to making the lives of those we connect with richer and more rewarding in 2024, and by doing so we trust that we too can help bring some joy to our world and close gaps for people wherever we can.
